For sale is a Selmer Super Balanced Action tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime Selmer serial #38,xxx with its matching #38,xxx neck!
This horn is extremely close to John Coltrane's SBA tenor saxophone!
This saxophone is absolutely jaw dropping beautiful however the horn appears to be a relacquer. That being said the horn is a beautiful dream SBA. The engravings feel deep to the touch and its overall just a gorgeous horn!
This saxophone is being sold as used and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, heavy patina, metal wear of various colors, weld marks, repair marks and other anomalies associated with such an old antique.
Please check out picture #23 there are some extremely small letters marked on the body of the sax. Although this is not ideal, its so so tiny in a perfect place hidden tucked away that its hardly noticeable. When holding the sax its quite hidden. If you wanted in the future a repair tech can mask this.

Saxophone comes with a Mark VI case in not great condition.
This saxophone has an extremely nice neck with it!
Overall the horn is an extremely nice piece. These saxophones are barley coming to market these days. The vast majority of these horns show up in total trashed condition missing necks, missing parts etc. All things considered this is a rather nice horn!
