Terms and Conditions of Sale
Returns, Refunds and Warranty Repairs
Sales from Sax Stable LLC via the www.saxstable.com website, phone / e-mail orders, social media platforms or through any eBay or Reverb auctions operating as eBay or Reverb user “SaxStable” are not eligible for return or refund (e.g., all sales are final).
On extremely rare occasions, its possible instruments may be damaged in shipping and/or manufacturing anomalies may be present. All ‘new’ instruments are covered by factory manufactures warranties and instruments in any condition other than ‘new’ are shipped fully insured.
The customer is responsible for inspecting the merchandise upon arrival. In the event of damage all original shipping boxes, containers and materials must be retained. If damage has occurred in shipping, the customer MUST notify Sax Stable LLC immediately, within 24 hours of arrival from the shipping carrier,via email so that Sax Stable LLC may instruct the customer on the steps that need to be taken. All claims of damage will have to be inspected by the Shipping company. Sax Stable LLC will not refund any item(s) damaged in shipping if the customer has failed to file a claim or has failed to meet any of the above mentioned conditions.
Incidents involving a manufacturing anomaly will be handled on a case-by-case basis and require notification to Sax Stable LLC prior to the expiration of the manufacturer's warranty period. The following instances are not covered by manufacturer's warranties:
- Accidental damage while merchandise is in customer’s possession.
- Damage to the merchandise by the customer’s own misuse.
- Reeds/Perishable Items
All claims invoking the manufacturer’s warranty require an RMA (Return merchandise authorization) form issued by Sax Stable LLC and the manufactures of the affected item. Items will be replaced at the manufacturer's discretion and repaired at a location of Sax Stable LLCs choice. A shipping label will be included for all covered repair work. Repair work will not be performed at a location of the customer’s choice and reimbursed by Sax Stable LLC.
Any return that does not meet all criteria mentioned above may be subject to at least a 35% restocking fee. Sax Stable LLC reserves the right to not allow for refund/return if the transaction and customer do not follow or meet stated criteria.
Vintage & Used Instrument Condition
Sax Stable LLC specialize in the sales of used and vintage instruments. Condition reports are unique and specific to each used or vintage instrument. We strive to ensure the accuracy of each instrument’s condition that it is possible to find lacquer wear, scratching, marring, knicks, dings, dents, flea bites, pitting, metal wear of various red/green colors, patina, weld marks, repair marks, buckle rash, leprosy, odors, foul smells, or other anomalies associated with used and vintage musical instruments not noted on the documented condition report. A condition report does not represent an implicit or explicit warranty of condition.
Payment Terms
Acceptable Payment Methods
Sax Stable LLC accepts payment via credit and debit card, paypal and customer initiated bank wires (bank wire only, ACH not accepted). Cash may be accepted on a case-by-case basis for local pickup orders only but for orders not exceeding $9,000 USD. Sales tax is applicable where required by law.
Unaccepted Payment Methods
Personal or cashier’s checks, money orders or crypto currency of any nature are not accepted for payment. No exceptions.
International Payment Methods
All transactions originating outside the US using a non-US domiciled payment method must be made via bank wire. ACH payments are not accepted and all payments must be remitted and cleared Sax Stable LLC’s account prior to the dispatch of ordered merchandise.
Shipping Terms
On-line sales
Sax Stable LLC ships instruments and accessories via FedEx, UPS and USPS unless otherwise specified by the customer during checkout. All shipping and handling costs will be prepaid (unless otherwise specified by Sax Stable LLC in writing or email) by the customer. ALL shipments from Sax Stable LLC require a direct signature. Items will not be shipped without a signature, no exceptions.
In Person / Local Pickup
Sax Stable LLC offers in-person pickup at a location designated by the company on a case-by-case basis. Any instances of local pickup must be requested prior to the completion of sale and payment rendered. Sax Stable LLC will explicitly confirm with the buyer the terms of the local pickup prior to the completion of the sale and payments being rendered.
Freight Forwarders
Please note for new merchandise that we cannot accept any order shipped to a Freight Forwarding company. As they are not the “end consumer” for the product, many of the manufacturer’s policies prohibit shipment to anyone other than the end consumer. Any order that is shipped to a freight forwarding company will be rejected.
International Sales
Sax Stable is proud to offer international shipping on vintage and used merchandise. New manufactured instruments and accessories are not eligible for shipping outside the immediate 50 states and outlying US territories. International shipping is via FedEx, UPS or USPS. All customs, duties, tariffs and taxes are borne by the customer / end recipient. Sax Stable LLC will not prepay or be held responsible for any customs, duties, tariffs and taxes preventing delivery of merchandise to the end customer. Sax Stable LLC will not refund or return any merchandise not delivered to the customer due to the failure to pay any customs, duties, tariffs and taxes on an international transaction.
Third-Party Platform Shipping
International customers dealing with Sax Stable LLC over eBay or Reverb (as user: “SaxStable”) MUST pre-arrange all payment and shipping details with SaxStable prior to bidding. If a customer does not pre-arrange these details, Sax Stable LLC has the right to refuse the transaction without any negative or neutral feedback retaliation from the customer. Should the customer post feedback of this sort, you agree to have this feedback removed. The ONLY acceptable proof of pre-arrangement is written emails.
