Selmer Paris 72F
For sale is a gorgeous Selmer Paris 72F Reference 54 alto saxophone in vintage matte finish.
These horns are awesome Mark VI inspired recreations! Sadly Selmer has recently announced that they retired and stopped making this model.
We have 1x total last unit that we were able to get our hands on. Once its gone, its gone. You are buying the actual horn pictured.
These vintage matte finish horns use a proprietary process in Paris to apply or transition the finish. Because of this, each horn is slightly unique! You will see interesting matte machine marks on various keys that are darker or lighter, and horns vary horn to horn.
I have held alot of these vintage mattes and will say this is a particular very beautiful example!

We have opened this horn and inspected it in the hands so we are selling this as open box that being said the horn is like new, with a full life ahead!

The Selmer Reference 54 is a professional saxophone inspired by the Mark VI model released in 1954. It integrates the Mark VI's legendary acoustic characteristics with innovative, modern key work, and better intonation. A favorite among jazz saxophonists, the Reference 54 offers a rich, full sound with an even scale and great ergonomics.
The keywork of the Selmer Reference 54 saxophone utilizes a modern, ergonomic design. This instrument comes complete with shaped flight case, Selmer Paris S-80 C* mouthpiece, cap and ligature, and care products. Join the legions of jazz saxophonists that have rediscovered the sound of the legendary Mark VI and have made the Selmer Reference 54 their horn of choice. The Reference 54 takes its inspiration from a 1958 mid-70,000 serial number Mark VI. It plays and looks like a vintage Selmer, including longer bell to improve intonation and a vintage matte finish.
