This horn is a prime golden era Selmer serial #13,xxx with its factory neck!
This horn was made towards the end of the New Large Bore run coming very close to the start of the Super run. Its very rare to find any kind of Selmer tenor around this serial range!
This horn is an amazing playing saxophone!
This horn is a great piece that has JUST come out of the repair shop. Its important to note, you are not buying a Mark VI! Mark VIs play with an extremely laser focused type sound. These are still core Selmer DNA, but lean more towards a vintage darker playing vibe.

This horn has just had the full sax repair treatment.
This horn was completely broken down separated into pieces, cleaned, degreased, freshly oiled, fresh adjustment material as needed, new pads new neck cork, neck fitting, tightening/fitting of key work, a full next level setup on the horn!
Although the horn has tons of natural patina however the horn was just fully cleaned to the bone in our ultra sonic cleaner! This sax is a clean fresh tasting, fresh smelling horn! This is not a cheap process to get done.
From the look of the horn it may appear "dirty" looking or patina'd up. What your seeing left is simply discoloration on the brass from over the years. This horn started extremely dirty with layers of dirt caked on. The horn is now completely clean to the bone!! When you run your finger across all parts of the sax it feels smooth and clean fresh brass! Quite a number was done on this to clear it properly.
This sax is currently playing top to bottom with no clicks, clanks, metal on metal, extra noise, extra motion, the horns key work is leak free!

Saxophone repair work is not cheap these days. It can take a long time to get repair work done and not everyone can be trusted with a horn like this. This horn had an insane amount of repair work to bring it back to life. The fact that this horn has just had the full repair service treatment for this sale is a massive value add.
This horn is being sold as used and has its fair share of strong patina, metal wear, scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, metal wear of various colors, weld marks, repair marks and other anomalies associated with a 90 year old used horn sax.
This horn appears to be an older relaq relacquer. The engraving can still be seen and this horn is great example of these! Its nearly impossible to find one of these fully factory original.
The horn includes random terrible case with no logos or branding what so ever.
Overall this is just a great sax. These not many of these Selmer tenors floating around and vast majority of time they come around they are in broken, not working, for parts condition needing over the top overhauls. These days vintage and modern Selmers can be $10k+ SO this price range for a working tenor is really a sweet spot, priced in the pocket!
