For sale is a beautiful Selmer Mark VI 5 digit tenor saxophone!
Michael Brecker's famed Selmer saxophone had a neck serial of #92,203 + a body serial of #86,351.
This horn is a prime era Selmer serial #92,0xx with its matching #92,0xx neck!
The saxophone for sale is less then 200 serial numbers from Brecker's neck, and not far away from the body.
This saxophone is not in playing condition and is a dirty sax that will require a full overhaul and pad job to be a functional sax.
This saxophone is being sold as not working with and has its fair share of strong smell, various scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, metal wear of various red/green colors, engraving wear, and other anomalies associated with such an old vintage instrument.
The side of the neck shows some pull down or heavy use marks.
While this horn is beautiful there are some strong patches of patina and engraving wear so please plan on the fact that this horn is not mint.
The horn comes with its Selmer case, but the case is not in good shape falling apart. Not pictured the original owners name is written large on the outside of the case.
If you have been looking for a 5 digit tenor to overhaul this horn is a prime candidate. This horn is better then the vast majority of 5 digits floating around.
If you love the restoration process this horn is a great piece so please buy and pay confidently we will ship ASAP upon payment!
