For sale a gorgeous 1957 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime era 5 digit Mark VI serial #70xxx with its matching #70xxx neck!
While this horn is extremely beautiful this horn is a used antique and has its fair share of strong scratches, patina, knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, metal wear of various red/green colors, lacquer wear, or other anomalies associated with a such an old instrument of this nature.
Please check out picture #12 to see a dent on the bow!
Picture #12 shows the worst damage on the horn. There is a dent press in on the bow with some red/green metal wear patina spread around that area. There's no doubt that dent can be taken out and the area cleaned up but that will be the responsibility of the new owner.
At one point this horn was rebuilt, but is sitting on older pads. Aside from being leaky, all of the action is opening and closing just as should be.
This horn ships with its original Selmer case! The case is missing the Selmer logo.
While this horn could use some attention, overall its an extremely nice package. Its a great serial number, matching neck with no pickups or patches, no parts missing, everything intact, beautiful engraving, etc!
These 5 digits have become very scarce these days. Its not everyday these horns are coming to market. If you have been looking for a new Mark VI tenor please buy and pay confidently we will ship ASAP upon payment!
