For sale is a Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime era Selmer serial #171,xxx.
This saxophone is a relacquer.
This horn was relacquered after the factory and does not have the original finish.
Please check out pictures #21 & #22, there is an extra piece of metal, a patch that was used under the thumb rest.
Please check out pictures #23 & #24, there is a patch on the neck from a past pickup.
The horn is playing however the saxophone is sitting on a mix of old and older pads so we are selling it in the not working category.
This saxophone has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, metal wear of various colors, patina, weld marks, repair marks and other anomalies associated with a relacquer'd antique.
Once again this saxophone is a relaq, has a neck patch, and a patch under the thumb rest. All that being said, if you have been looking for an entry level priced vintage Selmer, this is a perfect way to get a Mark VI without breaking the bank!
