For sale is a Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime era serial #114xxx with its matching serial #114xxx neck.
This saxophone is a relaq relacquered saxophone.
Once again this sax was relacquered refinished after the factory!
This horn is going to need a full overhaul and pad job to be a properly functional sax.
This saxophone is being sold as not working for parts only.
The horn has its fair share of strong patina, engraving wear, scratches, knicks, dings, dents, metal wear of various gren/red colors, weld marks, old metal smells, relaq marks, repair marks and other anomalies associated with a not working parts horn.
Show in picture #23 there is a finger pearl missing.
Shown in picture #24 the neck strap ring was fixed with an additional piece of metal at one point.
This horn comes with a 5 digit Selmer case. The zipper is fully broken and there is no logo however its a strong wood shell case that will make a fantastic shipping container.
These general 114xx and surrounding serial number horns are typically amazing playing horns coveted by players.
Most time these serial number tenors show up sellers are asking big money. If you are a fan of the restoration process this is a great entry priced earlier VI tenor to get with out breaking the bank.
