For sale is an Otto Link Florida Transitional Slant Blank #6* Alto saxophone mouthpiece with factory "A" ligature!
When Otto Link moved from Pompano Beach Florida to Elkhart Indiana there was an 18 month moving process which caused a national shortage on Otto Links. There were a few mouthpiece that were squeezed out during the process of moving out of Florida. These are the transitional Otto Link Florida mouthpieces!
This mouthpiece is the exact same mouthpiece as a Florida Slant Signature mouthpiece, however with a straight signature!
This mouthpiece is not an early Babbitt, rather an earlier Florida transitional one of the rarest variants to find!
These mouthpiece are some of the best playing Otto Links ever. The reason so many people go crazy over early Babbits is because they are some of the loudest, brightest easy playing links out there. During the overall Florida period the pieces through out the years continued getting bright and brighter, louder and easier to play. These mouthpieces are such holy grail, because they are so late in the run they are loud and bright in your face as the early Babbits, but are on that primo vintage rubber Florida slant blank rather the EB blank! This makes this mouthpiece the best of both worlds and a very special piece!
This mouthpiece comes with its original Otto Link A ligature which is worth a pretty penny by itself.
This mouthpiece is being sold as used and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, rubber wear and other anomalies associated with a used mouthpiece! The logo is extremely faded!
These are really some of the rarest most sought after Otto Links ever made so please do not hesitate to buy and pay over, I will ship asap upon payment!
