This is a prime era vintage offset stamped Berg Larsen hard rubber mouthpiece!
The hard rubber vintage tenor Berg pieces are extremely collectible and desirable mouthpieces. During this era Berg Larsen was mostly producing metal mouthpieces, so thats typically what pops up
Berg's are LOUD and POWERFUL playing pieces that give you fantastic control over your horn. When you pair that commanding strength with the vintage hard rubber the its a highly satisfying playing piece that give you the best of both worlds.
Take a look at the stamping of the "M". You will notice its over offset to the right. During this era of mouthpieces Berg was stamping the chamber size to the right. These are now known as "offset" era pieces. Some might consider this a long body piece as well.
This mouthpiece comes with its matching T stamped Berg Larsen logo'd ligature. These are worth a pretty penny by them selves!
This mouthpiece is being sold as used and has some light patina, scatches, knicks, dings, fleabites, wear etc. That being said this mouthpiece is in better condition then you typically find these.
