This mouthpiece is a prime era vintage Berg Larsen offset era piece!
Take a look at the stamping, the "M" for medium chamber is all the to the right, offset from the rest of the numbers.
Way back when Berg Larsen was stamping these all the way over to the right, these are now known as the offset vintage and are prime era vintage Berg Larsen.
After this era the M stamping appears directly under the rest of the stamping which is how they have been doing it to date.
Typically these mouthpieces are mostly showing up as tenor sax mouthpieces.
When these alto offset pieces do show up typically they are much smaller chambers, making this a very rare piece!
This mouthpiece comes with its matching vintage Berg ligature which is worth a pretty penny by it self!
This mouthpiece is being sold as used and has some light scratches, knicks, fleabites, patina, metal wear, other used marks. That being said, they hardly ever are in this condition so this is a very nice find.
