This horn is a prime golden era early Selmer serial #5xxx!
This saxophone has a random non original neck with it. The neck matches perfect with the horn and looks like its been paired together near its full life. There is no Selmer logo or branding what so ever.
This horn is a great playing saxophone!
The pads are now older on this saxophone however the entire horn was overhauled at one point with crinkle cut "Hollywood" style metal resonators.
Although the pads are older or old the horn is in fantastic playing and buying position.
The horn has playing top to bottom with no clicks, clanks, metal on metal.
The horn is fully sealing with no leaks.
Overall the horn speaks extremely well and is a solid player with great vintage vibe.
This horn features crescents on a few of the tone holes. Crescents are a repair technique to apply cork to the inside of tone holes to make the horn play better or more in tune.
Its extremely rare to ever come across any horns that have crescents, so this is a testament to how the last owner treated this saxophone.
