For sale is a stunning Selmer Mark VI 5 digit tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime golden era Selmer serial #96xxx with its matching serial #96xxx neck!
This horn is a mostly minty closet queen Selmer in just beautiful condition!
We say *mostly minty* because 99% of the horn is in jaw dropping closet queen condition however there is a large flaw on the bell lip.
Please check out pictures #23 #24. The bell lip has a bend, dent and crease right on it. The next owner can easily have there tech take the dent out, and roll the bell lip neat and even to make it look absolutely perfect. The sorta crease flaw will always be there, but the dent and shaping of it will easily go back to normal with out much trouble. Feel free to message for more pictures of this area.
This sax is sold as not working as its sitting on old pads that are literally falling out.
To be a playing saxophone please plan on getting a full overhaul and pad job!
This saxophone is being sold as not working and although beautiful still has its fair share of various patina, scratches, knicks, fleabites, metal wear, used marks and other anomalies associated with such a used antique.
The lyre screw is broken with the half stuck in its screw receiver area.
Included is a Selmer case with the Selmer logo still intact. The zipper on this case is broken and only zips up 50% 60% of the way, the rest of the zipper is broken. If you open the zipper to fast, the zipper zips right off its track. Then you have to sit there lining up the zipper to get it back on the track which takes a few minutes. If you open it slow you can just stop zipping before it comes off the track.

This saxophone has an amazing neck with it! Similar to how the body has very little play time, the neck is a perfect minty specimen. We tried this neck on other Mark VIs and its an absolute beast of a neck! Plays loud and proud with a wall of sound just like you would hope from this serial range.
