For sale is a Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime era Selmer serial #164,xxx.
Please check out pictures #22 & #24, there is a pickup on the neck.
Please check out pictures #21 the bow has its bottom guard piece fully missing gone.
At this point this saxophone is sold as not working for parts.
Right now the saxophone is not working or playing at all.
This saxophone has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, metal wear of various colors, patina, weld marks, repair marks and other anomalies associated with an antique sax.
This saxophone looks like at one point in its life it was in some kind of extremely strong trauma. There are massive weld marks and repair marks going up and down the horns at all of its the seems on the body tube.
Saxophone with comes with a random brand shaped case.
Sax comes with a Selmer mouthpiece of a different era.
This saxophone is sold as is condition and it will be up to you to turn this into a finished product. That being said the horn is priced to sell right in the pocket!
The saving grace for this horn and why its worth it is the fact that its a very nice 164xxx serial + the logo/engraving is extremely nice!
Once again this saxophone has massive repair marks everywhere on the horn, has a neck pickup, missing bow guard and more. All that being said, if you have been looking for an entry level priced vintage Selmer, this is a perfect way to get a Mark VI without breaking the bank!
