For sale is a fantastic Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with brand new full overhaul!
This horn is a prime golden era Selmer serial #113xxx with its matching #113xxx neck!
This horn has just had a full brand new overhaul and fresh pad job just for this sale!
This horn was overhauled with high end Music Medic pads and vintage Selmer resonators. Picture #3 shows all of the brand new pads.
This horn prior was sitting on its original pads and Selmer factory screw back resonators. We painstakingly pulled each resonator from the old horn, individually cleaned them, then utilized them installing on the new pads to keep everything together!
This horn was fully cleaned in the ultra sonic bath. This horn is clean and fresh! Shown in picture #22.
Its rare to find Mark VIs that have a brand new fresh pad job with no waiting. Mark VI pad jobs typically cost some $1000 $2000 and have length waits. Most Mark VIs are sitting on trashed old pads, or old overhauls, middle age pads, etc. This horn with totally new fresh pads with no waiting has huge built in value!
This horn is an amazing playing saxophone! Every players ideal horn, feel, sound, tone concept, mouthpiece, embouchure can vary so we try not to hype up any horns play ability, but this horn is just an absolute monster player.
The horn has a massive loud and proud sound with no clicks, clanks, metal on metal. All of the keys/pads are clamping down hard and fast. The horn plays like a dream.
The horns playability and maneuverability is just fantastic. The horn is extremely fun to play on and the overall playing experience is highly gratifying!
This horn is being sold as used and has its fair share of various scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, metal wear, engraving wear, lacquer wear, repair marks, patina, weld marks etc.
Although quite beautiful this horn is a players horn. This horn has an ugly bow repair!
Please check out picture #23 & #24 this horn had a gnarly, ugly, repair job with weld mark, and slight dent on the bow showing. While it is ugly, this area is 100% sound, strong, stable and set as is.
The bow area is quite ugly however its the reason this horn is in a reasonable price range. A Mark VI in this serial number, nice engraving, full brand new pad job with OUT the bow repair mark would typically be thousands of dollars more.
This horn comes with Selmer case with no logos or branding. These cases sell for a pretty penny by them selves!
Overall the horn is a great playing Mark VI ready for a player to put it through its paces!
