KB Sax Vanguard Bronze Alto Saxophone Neck Fits Modern Selmer Yani Yamaha etc.
For sale is a Kim Bock KB Sax Vanguard bronze alto saxophone neck!
These Vanguard necks are inspired by a Selmer SBA Super Balanced Action neck.
This neck can work for both modern and vintage Selmers as well as most modern alto saxophone brand/makes produced after 1970 1980 era. This is neck for Selmer Supreme, Selmer Signature, Yamaha 82Z, etc.
Please note: There are 2x tenon sizes. This listing is for the standard/smaller size tenon that is a catch all for most modern alto saxophones but also works on vintage Selmer Mark VI and Super Balanced Action.
On another different listing there is a larger tenon specifically made exclusively for vintage Selmers or large bore horns.
With tenor saxophone its very important to have the proper small or large tenon size as vintage/modern tenor tenons vary greatly in size.
With alto saxophone its not as important as vintage/modern Selmer alto tenons are much similar in size and can be compatible with each.
If you think in the future you may want to have the option to use this neck on modern saxophones as well your Mark VI then buy this standard smaller tenon.
If you think this will be exclusively for vintage Selmers or large bore horns then get the larger tenon on a different listing.
Please note: Not every neck will fit every saxophone out of the box. If you are purchasing blindly for a ready to ship neck assume that you will need to bring your neck to your local repair tech to have it perfectly sized fit to your saxophone.
This neck does fit on many of the Selmers at the shop perfectly with 0 adjustment however plenty of the Selmers it does not fit. If you are purchasing this neck for a shipped purchase it will be up to you and your tech to have any final adjustments made to fit the neck to your body.
Neck adjustment fitting is an easy fast affordable thing to get done, but if we are shipping the product that will be your responsibility!
If you purchase the neck locally we are happy to adjust the neck on site to fit your saxophone perfect!
Also worth noting as a fully hand made item each neck will have its own various production marks with slight surface scratching, smudges, buffing marks, polishing scratches, or other individualized hand production love marks.
This neck is available for sale at our Los Angeles, California saxophone showroom store and can sell at any point so if you have been looking for a KB Sax neck please buy and pay confidently we will ship ASAP upon payment!

2 KB SAX NECK TENON SIZES
Please note: Not every neck will fit every saxophone out of the box. If you are purchasing blindly for a ready to ship neck assume that you will need to bring your neck to your local repair tech to have it perfectly sized fit to your saxophone.
Many times the necks do fit perfect right out of the box, but nothing is like a perfect fit, so its best to assume you will need to get that done. Its generally an easy affordable thing.
Larger Tenor Sax Tenon
Offers a better fit for vintage pre-1970 saxophones such as Selmer Mark VI, Mark VII, Super Balanced Action, Balanced Action, Conn, Couf, Keilwerth, SML, King, Buescher, etc.
Smaller Tenor Sax Tenon
Offers a better fit for most horns made post 1970 such as Selmer Supreme, Selmer Signature, Series II, Series III, Reference 54, Yamaha, Yanagisawa, P Mauriat and others
Alto Sax Tenon
Alto saxophones comes in the same 2 size tenons but is not as important like it is with tenor.
The standard or smaller alto tenon can often be used or fitted for every alto sax.
Its only for very large bore alto saxophones that you need the large tenon.
*On occasion for random extremely large bore horns it may require a custom tenon*
