This horn is a prime golden era Conn serial #103xxx with rolled tone holes!
This horn features incredible bright popping gold plating in great condition!
This saxophone features intricate deluxe portrait engraving of the full lady!

This saxophone was fully overhauled at one point in its modern life!
While the pads are still used condition pads, this is huge. The vast majority of all C Melody saxophones are sitting on 100 year old fully trashed pads that are dried cracking falling out impossible to play on.
This horn on the other hand was very specifically overhauled in modern day setting with high end metal resonators.
For this sale we have now specifically giving the saxophone a full setup!
Right now this saxophone is playing top to bottom with no clicks, clanks, metal on metal, extra noise with all of the keys and pads clamping down hard with no leaks.
Vintage Conn's and C Melodies are always going to be somewhat quirky playing horns, but this horn is sitting right now in perfect playing condition!
This horn is being sold as used and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, patina, tarnish, metal wear, plate lost, and other anomalies associated with such an old antique.
Its possible the neck is from a different gold plated Conn C melody. We haven't been with the horn for the last 100+ years to know its full history but it appears the gold plated finish on the neck differs from the body.
The neck is an absolutely top tier flawless perfection gold plated Conn C melody neck! Its just most likely from another horn as the neck is matte gold plated and the body is more shiny burnished gold plated. By no means is this a big deal or game changer, and its possible they did come from the factory or store together but we want to make sure the observation is noted upfront!
Included is the horns factory green Conn case. The logo is gone from the outside.
Included are 2 mouthpieces. 1 appears to be the Conn factory eagle with the metal shank band, the other is possibly a Buescher. Logos and branding are faded on both.
Included is the horns metal end plug!
Its worth noting this horn is in pretty incredible condition compared to how most of these pop up.
Typically you only find these saxophones in bare brass, gold laq or silver plate. On extremely rare occasions you will see the gold plated C melodies pop up however those are just the standard basic engraved gold plates. Then once in a very rare blue moon you will see a deluxe engraved portrait gold plated C melody like this. Majority of times these pop up they just aren't this nice of condition in addition to needing full overhaul.
This horn is bright and shiny and is very reflective off lights. In the hands looking with your eyes the horn appears much more gold nugget like in color hue! Its very hard to capture fully in photos.
