For sale is an incredibly rare UMI Conn International 84MA low A baritone saxophone!
This horn is a NOS, new old stock saxophone from the year 2001.
After the Conn golden era, UMI United Musical Instruments was the company that owned and produced Conn's and King saxophones.
Around the year 2000 UMI merged with Selmer to make what these days we call Conn Selmer.
This saxophone is one of the very last, if not the last UMI Conn saxophone to ever be created.
We are Conn Selmer authorized dealers. This saxophone 25 years after production has just come directly from the Conn to us.
While doing a bit of a spring cleaning restructuring type work this saxophone was discovered in a deep dark cranny of the Conn Elkhart campus.
After 25 years the single found unit was put for sale on the discontinued list, and we pounced on it
What we are looking at is an actual new old stock saxophone.
This horn was a fully sealed saxophone in its UMI branded box. Inside the box were shreds of newspaper. The news paper has movie releases and news from the year 2001!
This saxophone was a Taiwanese made saxophone. Which is a massive upgrade over any Chinese or Vietnamese made saxophone.
This saxophone has just had a full setup.
The horn is currently playing perfectly exactly as intended!
In general these are very rare saxophones. You dont really see these pop up on the used market. As a 25 year old actually never played saxophone, its a nice piece with a cool story!
This horn is on sale at our Los Angeles, California saxophone showroom and can sell at any point so if you have been looking for a bari please buy and pay confidently we will ship ASAP upon payment!
