For sale is a Yanagisawa Dorado 500 professional tenor saxophone!
This is a prime example vintage Japanese built Yani!
This is a late 1960s early 1970s T4 Yanagisawa with the Dorado 500 logoing.
The T4 models were built to compete against the Selmer Mark VI world. While these are not exact Mark clones they are completely inspired by them with similar bore sizes, neck, and overall design.
Yani was known for amazing built Japanese horns and this is a rather nice example!
These horns are loud and proud, known for foward playing direct focused tone ala Mark VI world!
This horn is going to need a full setup, and if you choose a full overhaul and pad job.
Please plan on bringing this sax to your repair tech!
This horn is sold as not working and as a 50 year old sax has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, metal wear, patina, pad wear, and other anomalies associated with such an old sax!
The bell lip has a bit of bend down and patina to it.
In this price range of horn this horn is one of the best choices on the market. If you can get the work done on this sax, nothing will beat this horn at this price point. This horn is made in a way that cheaper quality horns in this price range just cant compete with.
