For sale is a Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone with its factory original case!
This is a prime example of an early serial #138xxx Mark VI.
These days it has become very hard to find Mark VI tenors, and earlier serial numbers like these are highly coveted and just dont come around very often.
This saxophone comes with its original Selmer case that has Selmer Paris logo still intact!
This horn is an excellent playing horn! This horn has just come out of the shop and had a full clean, oil, adjust and setup! Some pads were changed and all of the action is moving clear and free with ease clamping down hard on the tone hole.
This saxophone is being sold as used and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, metal wear, heavy patina, repair marks, lacquer wear and other anomalies associated with an extremely used vintage saxophone.
Please check out picture #11, you can see the original owner carved a couple of letters into the body & side of neck.
Please check out picture #12, believe it or not while its hard to tell I think there was some kind of pickup removed or possibly a patch or some kind of repair mark. The area is flat to the touch.
We would also like to note these full Paris made horns have very light lacquer color, and are extremely shiny and reflective under our bright photo lights. This horn has a very faded patina finish but in the hands the engraving is deep to the touch looking and feeling just right!
If you have been looking for a full playing early era Mark VI, this is your new horn! We are pricing this horn to sell right now so please buy and pay confidently, we will ship ASAP upon payment!
