For sales is a holy grail Selmer Mark VI 59xxx Mark VI alto saxophone neck!
This is the rare of the rare! A serial numbered beautiful dark lacquer original Mark VI neck from the very beginning of the Mark VI run!
Its extremely hard to find any kind of Mark VI neck for sale by it self.. The very once in a blue moon that a neck comes available on its own its almost never a 5 digit neck, let alone with a serial number that happens to be one of the most desirable ranges!
When necks do pop up more times then none they are a relaq, or has pickup, patch, or some other kind of weird thing.. That is not the case with this neck!
While of course you should assume a used 65 year old neck will have some kind of pull down and patina all things considered this neck is in rather good condition and is a true survivor!
The neck is that ohh so perfect 1950s Selmer dark honey gold lacquer with just the right look. The S remains quiet a bit of of the factory blue paint!
This neck has something very special about it... Take a look on the very front dead on under the cross hairs. There is a #5 stamped into the neck.
On very rare occasions there have been some accounts of these stampings into the neck. Im not sure what it means exactly, but it is cool!
This neck is being sold as used and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, metal wear of various green colors, patina, and other anomalies associated with such a used vintage piece. As is the case with any saxophone that dangles off your mouth, please assume there is going to be some level of pull down different from an exact mint factory piece.
If you have the perfect 5 digit horn needing a neck, or would love to experiment with this piece there are so few options like this available, especially in this serial range. Please do not hesitate to buy and pay over, I will ship ASAP upon payment!
