For sale is a Conn New Wonder II silver plated soprano saxophone with its original purple lined case!
This is a prime example rolled tone hole Conn soprano serial #147xxx with the desirable circular ring thumb rest!
During this time period there are a number of different Conn logos that are seen. This is a very nice, desirable and rare logo! The Conn Logo has this art deco type font and styling surrounded by beautiful floral engraving all ontop of an extremely thick silk and satin silver plating!
Most of the logo's on these sopranos are that cursive style font on the CG Conn, with the straight block logos on the rest of the letter surrounded by a simple curricular engraving. Its very nice to have this logo!
This horn has a gold wash bell! Once polished its going to bling up nice!
Im selling this instrument as not working for parts. While all the key action isn't that far away, the pads are old Im recommending a full overhaul and new pad job to make this a perfectly prime playing piece.
This sax has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, metal wear, patina, repair marks, tarnish and other anomalies associated with an almost 100 year old saxophone!
Please refer to picture #12, there is denting on the very tip of the neck. This is easily taken out by your tech during the overhaul, but I wanted to openly disclose it!
If you have been looking for a Conn soprano with original case Im pricing this right on the pocket for someone to walk up and purchase as is. Please buy and pay confidently I will ship ASAP upon payment!
