This is a prime era soprano soloist. I received this extremely special mouthpiece in the case of a 1959 Selmer Mark VI soprano serial #85,xxx. This was an extremely special saxophone and mouthpiece!
These oval on the table soloists are some of the most sought after soprano mouthpieces of all time. They sell for alot of money and are rare to find.
This particular mouthpiece is in awesome condition. The Selmer logo still has most of its original gold leaf inlay. The rubber is in nice condition and the tip looks amazing!
If you take a look at the other Selmer mouthpieces popping up you will see most of them are never in a condition like this, which really puts this mouthpiece in its own league!
Although this mouthpiece is in great condition, it is still a 60+ year old antique and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, patina, and other anomalies associated with a used mouthpiece someone put in there mouth to play!
