For sale is a real deal 59xxx Selmer Mark VI 5 digit alto saxophone with its original factory case
This is an American engraved super early prime era with a 59xxx serial number!
These horns have gotten incredibly rare and are extremely hard to find these days. Its virtually near impossible to find these Mark VIs with a 5 in front of it 55xxx to 59xxx.
I bought this horn from the original owner who had been storing the horn for quite some time. Even though the pads are old he brought the horn to a tech and paid $350 to have the horn fully setup to boot, just on the old pads.
So even though its old pads the horn has no clicks, clanks, metal on metal. The action is fresh oiled, clean and smooth with no loss of motion. It seems like someone practically rebuilt the horn just left all of the old pads.
This horn has its fair share of scratches, Knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, patina, metal ware of various red green colors, repair marks, weld marks, and other anomalies associated with such an old vintage saxophone.
This horn is a relaq re lacquered horn after the factory. There is some strong metal wear & patina around some of the tone holes. The neck does not have a serial number and is not original to the horn! The original case is beat up missing a handle, zipper broken etc. The pads are old pads!

Although this is not the original matching serial numbered neck its really a fantastic full Mark VI setup!
The neck is an extremely nice prime example Mark VI neck that was relacquered with the horn back when so they look identicle shades of laq! They look really great. There are some numbers hand etched inside the neck receiver from the Selmer factory!
