This mouthpiece is that ultimate Coltrane vibe! This mouthpiece is the same model seen on the iconic picture of John Coltrane on the cover of Blue Train with the Tone Master mouthpiece pictured with it!
These mouthpiece are extremely rare and 9 times out of 10 are a #3 or #4 tip opening. Finding a #6 is almost completely unheard of!
Its amazing to think this mouthpiece was made on the famed New York City 48th st. Where all of the jazz clubs were located, where all of the music stores were located. At that time to be in New York City with those jazz legends and be able to get a brand new Otto Link Tone Master, thats amazing.
These mouthpieces have so much mojo and are really special pieces.
This mouthpiece extremely old and is being sold as used and has its fair share of scratches, knicks, fleabites, patina, metal wear, wear and tear and other anomalies associated with such a used mouthpiece! The tip is a touch out of round round clearly pictured. The boxes bottom half is pretty much completely destroyed and missing a large piece.
