This is a very early NO USA, small font variant!
These mouthpieces are extremely rare and highly valuable.
This mouthpiece is being sold as used and has its far share of scratches, Knicks, dings, dents, fleabites, metal wear of various colors, patina and other anomalies associated with a used mouthpiece that someone stuck in there mouth and bite on! There is a fair amount of green growth on the table. One could use a chemical to clean this however it may change the finish so I choose to left it as is!
